AGE CATEGORIES

YOUTH / JUNIOR:
17 Years old & younger

ADULT:
Athletes 18 years old and older
*Teen athletes may sign up in the adult brackets with Parent/Coach approval

MASTER 1 & 2:
Athletes 30 years old and older

MASTER 3 & 4:
Athletes 40 years old and older

MASTER 5:
Athletes 50 years old and older
EXPERIENCE LEVEL - ADULT & ALL MASTER GI

WHITE BELT:
No black belt in judo, No (national level or collegiate) freestyle or Greco-Roman wrestling, no MMA fights as an amateur or professional..

BEGINNER:
up to 1 year of grappling experience
No black belt in judo, No (national level or collegiate) freestyle or Greco-Roman wrestling, no MMA fights as an amateur or professional..

INTERMEDIATE:
12 - 36 months - no brown or black belts

ADVANCED:
over 36 months

Skill 1:
Less than 12 months of grappling experience (regardless of belt)
*athletes who have won their division twice are expected to move up

12 - 24 months of grappling experience (regardless of belt)
*athletes who have won their division twice are expected to move up

Skill 3:
25 - 42 months of grappling experience (regardless of belt)
*athletes who have won their division twice are expected to move up

Skill 4:
43 months and beyond of grappling experience (regardless of belt)
*CASH PRIZE* Black belts pay $50 when registering That money is put into a pot that is separated per bracket.
1st place will get 50%, 2nd place will get 30%, and 3rd place will take 20%.
EXAMPLE:
Bracket of 8 prize money
1st = $200
2nd = $120
$3rd = $80
100% of the money from Black belt registrations goes to the black belt placers.
Weight classes are IBJJF weight classes.
